When the driver behind you forgets to switch off their high-beams, it causes a blinding glare in your rearview mirror. This is not only annoying, but it can cause an accident. Now, auto-dimming mirrors can help to eliminate this hazard. Here is how they work.

Auto-dimming mirrors contain a material that changes color when exposed to an electrical current. The mirror uses sensors that pick up the light and transform into a tiny electrical current. This causes the electrochromic material to darken and reduces the glare. When the car is no longer behind you, the electrical current stops and the material changes back to its natural color. This restores your normal view of the mirror. It is pretty amazing technology for such a simple device.

MARK MITSUBISHI-NM has vehicles from top manufacturers that have technologically advanced safety features available. Our sales staff will be happy to show you what they can do.
